L. and C. dedicated the last several years to their schooling and this entailed moving regularly. Therefore, I centred the painting around a travelling theme. Every detail of this car decribes something about their lifestyle; the leisure activities they enjoy, how they love making a home feel like home, and how they relish each other's company.

While I was doing this painting, L. and C. were in the midst of planning a wedding celebration, a celebration for which they requested that each guest become an actor in a brilliant play L. wrote for the occassion. This detail features lines from the play.

These black spruce tell of the time L. and C. spent in northern Ontario.

Community is of central importance to L. and C. This part of the painting speaks of their dedication to family and friends. It also illustrates their philosophy that by caring for each other and considering our actions, we can accomplish wonders on this planet.
