"Snow Through Black Spruce" (left) On page 2 of this gallery you will see this print with a border  that I decided to remove in order to make it match the other borderless illustrations which followed. This illustration didn't quite have the feeling Rob wanted so I did the one called "Eternity" which you can see at the bottom of this page.

"Icy Water Flowing in Spring" (right) Rob asked me to do an illustration of a sauna near a creek in the springtime. I placed the sauna amongst trees with leaves newly opened...at the point when the leaves are almost transparent green and appear to glow brightly,almost blindingly, from within. This illustration was chosen to be included in the book.

"Eternity" (left)  Walking across a frozen lake in the middle of a snowstorm is unforgettable.I drew on my memories of such walks for this illustration. This illustration was chosen to be included in the book.   Woodstoves and Ravens by Robert E. Farmer is available on Amazon.
