1. "Fish and Water Lilies" fish swimming under water lilies water colour framed size approx 28 x 22 inches   One day my head began overflowing with ideas regarding what I could do with stencils and an atomizer. I cut stencils night and day until blisters flamed on my sissor hand. Undaunted, I wrapped my fingers in duct tape and continued cutting until I had a box full of stencils in every shape and size imaginable. This was one of my first stencilled works.  It was excruciatingly mind twisting to do, despite is deceptive simplicity.

3. "Quilt of Dreams" five children under a quilt framed hand painted stone lithograph size approx  12 x 24  This stone litho is inspired by the quilts my mother used to make us from the scraps left over from other sewing projects. Each square reminded us of something she had made...a dress, curtains for our bedroom, pajamas... A square on one quilt was made of fabric with puppies all over it and before we got a dog of our own I'd stare and stare at those playing puppies and wish I had one just like it. I thought it was amazingly magical that when we did get our wonderful dog from the pound he actually looked exactly like the dog on the quilt!  Click for details

4. "Nest and Birches" nest surrounded by birch trees graphite framed size approx 28 x 22 inches For years I had a nest I'd found safely tucked away...waiting for me to draw it.  One winter I decided to do a piece that would feature the nest. I wanted it to be a sister piece to one I'd done some years previously. Looking at the nest intently week after week as I worked on it gave me endless respect for the artistry and ingenuity of the little bird who created it. click to see details

5. "Korean Girl" Korean girl in traditional dress holding prayer lantern watercolour, graphite, acrylic ink size approx. 24 x 12 inches This is a painting inspired by the memories that remained with me after we attended the celebrations held on Buddha's birthday when we lived in Korea. The painting also speaks of the many contrasts present on that day. The ancient prayers and dances contrasted with the dark and almost foreboding quality of the highrises surrounding the park entrance where some of the festivities took place.

6. "Circus Pony" circus pony standing in the ring watercolour size approx. 22 x 28 inches Oh, the innocence of this trusting little pony!! I was happy to see how affectionate the trainers were with the animals in the tiny circus that came to Atikokan.
